Back to the Great White North

January 5, 2012 I started a new chapter in my life. After having called Ocala, Florida my home for 30 years, I moved to Pawtucket, Rhode Island to make a new home with my girlfriend, Jenn. (Between the two of us we have a zoo. There is my cat, Muneca, her dog, Rufie, her cat, Fiona, our foster cat, Mr. Whiskers, and her two Guinea Pigs, Albert, and Patches.) I look forward to the many adventures that this move will bring about, and look forward to the life that I will live with Jenn by my side. Already, in my first two days back in the Great White North (I was born in Philadelphia, and lived in Lower Bucks County, PA until I was 12 years old.) I have had two firsts. I arrived for the first time, ever, in Rhode Island on Wednesday, and on Thursday we went shopping in South Attleboro, Mass. Two days. Two States. Two firsts.

The strange thing is, I had stated on numerous occasions that I would never leave Ocala. I love that city, and many things about it. However, God brought Jenn into my life, and opened a whole new world of opportunities for the both of us. And so, here I am back in the Great White North.

I guess the lesson to be learned here is to embrace life, and all it has in store for you, and never say never, because there may be something, or someone, around the corner that will make you change the way you look at things. Then that thing you said you would never do will be done.

Well, folks, until next time...

Have a Happy New Year, and love like you've never loved before.
